Apple sets record 7.8m Application Store downloads in October
Apple were able to crack an exciting-time record for quantity of downloads in one month around the Application Store recently.
October saw an amazing 7.8 million apps beamed to iPhones worldwide, trumping all previous several weeks.
It’s a frankly unsurprising figure thinking about October saw the launch from the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, itself seeing incredible sales figures.
The brand new data comes thanks to Fiksu, which says application downloads in October were hiked up by 42 percent when compared with September.
The data also unearthed a 39 percent year-on-year growth for October application downloads, which speaks volumes for the prosperity of Apple’s new smartphone duo.
Based on Fiksu, the majority of the downloads were re-downloads of apps, meaning users had already installed the apps before, possibly on the different device.
