Android One users really are a lucky bunch. They often buy their devices for very economical prices but still get timely updates like Nexus phones. Android 6..1 is not the best towards the rule, as Micromax A1 users are beginning to determine OTA update notifications appear on their own screens.

This is not the very first demonstration of 6..1 on Android One though. A Couple Of days ago, Philippines’ Cherry Mobile G1 got the update within the air, and today the Micromax A1 is following suite. Nexus devices saw their factory images released yesterday, and something devices should be expecting exactly the same features this little update introduced: “Until next alarm” within the Don’t Disturb mode and more importantly lots of new emojis.

To date we have only seen reports from the 6..1 OTA hitting both of these Android One devices, but others should start following them soon. The update seems to be with the 75-85MB mark based on your phone.
